How do I set up Google Analytics on my website?

Synopsis:
You want to set up Google Analytics so you can track traffic statistics to your website.

Solution:
DoJiggy client websites are fully integrated with Google Analytics. Our integration makes it easy to get started with Google Analytics visitor tracking and analytics reporting. When configured in Events -> Settings -> Advanced -> Google Analytics Account ID, Google Analytics will track visits to all of your pages. If you have a Google Analytics ID, simply enter it into your admin area as above.

GETTING  STARTED  WITH  GOOGLE  ANALYTICS
If you do not have a Google Analytics Account ID you wish to use, follow the steps here.

Go to the Google Analytics Sign Up Page and sign up for an account. If you already have a Google account, just login, click on the “Sign Up” button to get going with the setup process.

Enter your DoJiggy Website Details - New Account Signup

Next you will see a screen for information about your web site. Type in your DoJiggy URL in the Website's URL field, the account name and set your time preferences. The account name will be the group name for the series of websites for which you use Google Analytics. Using a group name like 'Main' or 'My Website' is fine, or just use the Website URL for the Account Name.

Enter Your Contact Information

On this page, you provide your contact information. If you don’t want to do this - just select your country and you should be good to go to the next step.

Check Out the Terms of Service

One of the last pages you will see is Google’s terms of service and legal agreement. Review it, click the “Yes, I agree to the above terms and conditions ” check box and then press Create New Account.

Identify your Google Analytics Account ID - Tracking Instructions

This step gives you a Google Analytics Account ID. Because of the integration we provide, you do not need all this code, However, look carefully for the line that contains a some hint like "_uacct = "UA-xxxxxxx-1" or "var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-xxxxxxx-1")" The UA-4xxxxxx-1 part is the Google Analytics Account ID. That is all you need. Select and copy that code into your clipboard, and write it down for safekeeping. You need to enter that code into the DoJiggy admin.

Enter your Google Analytics Account ID into DoJiggy Administration

When you get your Google Analytics Account ID, enter that at Events -> Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Google Analytics Account ID.

NEXT  STEPS

Google Analytics generally updates your reports every 24 hours. This means that it could take 24 hours for data to appear in your account after you have updated your DoJiggy website settings.
